What You Sleep On Matters - Why We Started Loom & Lay

Loom & Lay was born from a simple belief - what you sleep on matters.

We read ingredient labels. We think carefully about what we eat, what we put on our skin.

Over time, without really noticing it, we have all raised the bar for how we take care of

ourselves. It felt like the right time to bring that same intention to the one place we spend

eight hours every single night.

The bedroom.

The Question We Could Not Stop Asking

Think about the fabric you sleep on. Pressed against your skin for seven or eight hours,

every night, for years. Most of us have never stopped to ask what that fabric is really made

of - not just the fibre, but what it has been treated with, dyed with, finished with, along the

way from raw material to your bed.

When we started looking into it, the answer was more complicated than we expected. Textile

production involves a long chain of inputs - dyes, finishing chemicals, softeners - and not all

of them are ones you would want against your skin every night. The problem was not that

this was hidden. It was simply that nobody was talking about it, and most brands were not

offering anything you could verify independently.

We wanted to change that.

What We Set Out to Build

Loom & Lay is not just a bedsheet brand. It is a sleep essentials brand - built around the idea

that everything touching your body during sleep should meet a clear, independently verified

standard.

We started with 100% cotton bedsheets, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified. That

certification means the finished fabric - after dyeing, after every chemical input in production

- has been tested by an accredited institute for over 1000 harmful substances.

Formaldehyde. Azo dyes. Heavy metals. Pesticide residues. If it is there, the test finds it.

We did not pursue this certification because it was required. We pursued it because we

believe it should be the baseline, not the exception.

Why This Is Only the Beginning

We named ourselves Loom & Lay - not after a single product, but after a full journey. From

the loom where fabric is made, to the lay of a bed properly dressed. The name was chosen

to hold more than bedsheets. If it goes on a body during sleep, it earns its place in our range, or it does not ship.

Because what you sleep on matters.

A Brand Built on Proof, Not Promises

We will not ask you to take our word for it. Every claim we make comes with certification you

can look up yourself. The details are on every product page. The certificate is verifiable.

What we have is a clear point of view and the commitment to stand behind it publicly - one

honest product at a time.

Welcome to Loom & Lay.
